
Leona Louise Lewis, born 3 April 1985. It is an actress an activist, singer and actress from Britain. Born and raised within the London Borough Of Islington she attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis was recognized as a national talent after she was crowned the winner of the third series of The X Factor in 2006 she was awarded a PS1 million recording contract with Syco Music. An original Kelly Clarkson song"A Moment Like This" was her winner. The track surpassed 50,000 digital downloads within less than 30 minutes, and peaked at number one for 4 weeks. In February 2007 Lewis signed a five-album contract in the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Lewis continued her success by releasing Spirit the first studio album. The album was platinum 10x accredited in the UK. The album was the fourth album to be sold in the 2000, and was also one of the top-selling UK albums. Spirit is, as per Official Charts Company is the record-breaking debut album of the 21st century of a female artist. Its first single, "Bleeding Love", had a run of seven weeks at the top of the charts at top in UK and was the best-selling single in the year 2007. In the US this was the most-seller single of 2008 , and Lewis was named the best new Artist by Billboard that year. The artist released Echo in 2009 and created "I Love You" for the film's title song. Lewis also debuted "Collide," a joint work along with Swedish DJ Avicii. In 2011 , she also dropped Hurt an extended performance from her first EP. Glassheart (2012) was her third studio album. Her inspiration came from electronic music and dubstep. She started recording tracks for her debut Christmas album on the Glassheart Tour, which took place in mid 2013. Christmas, with Love came out later in the year and its lead single, "One More Sleep" was a top three hit on the charts in the UK. In the wake of this chart, Lewis made history as the only British woman soloist to break into the top five with eight singles. She beat Olivia Newton-John's record set by seven.
